There is no unambiguous description of what a strong password is.
When a password is entered in iProva, a number of things are checked. Below are a few examples of weak passwords:
- Recurring patterns (abcabcabc)
- Repeating symbols (aaaaaaaa)
- Frequently used passwords (password)
- L33t speak (pa55w0rd)
- Dates
This list is not complete. There are many more examples of weak passwords.
In the past, your password had to be a certain length. This is not the case anymore. A password of 10 characters may be very strong, but another password of 20 characters may be very weak.
