For passwords of Zenyausers you can set how strong their password should be.

The setting can be found in the general system settings (Application management> System settings> General under the heading 'Password').

With Zenya5.13 we have changed this by not only taking into account the length of the password, but also important factors such as repetition (1231231231 is a weak password) and common passwords (in 2019 we should know better than to use the password 'password').

The setting in the general system settings that determines how long the password should be has been removed from version 5.13. Instead, there is a new setting where you can indicate whether a new password should be 'weak', 'medium' or 'strong'.

First of all, it is good to know that users will only have to deal with this when they have to create a new password (because the organization-wide choice has been made to have this every six months, for example). When a user starts typing a new password, an indicator will show how strong the chosen password is. Depending on the chosen setting, the password must be at least 3 to 5 lines strong.

Due to the different rules (such as not having a repetition), it can happen that a longer password is suddenly considered less strong, which an end user will see.
